These are 9.7 million deaths per year. The most frequent causes of death are complications during the birth, pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, veins and AIDS. The countries with the highest infant mortality are Sierra Leone (270 deaths per 1.000 births), Angola, 260 per 1.000) and Afghanistan ((257 per 1.000). Cuba with 7 deaths per 1.000 and Sri Lanka with 13 per 1.000 births have got the "best" results of the developing countries.
